Rocky New Year, Time for Vacation?
So far the New Year has not been kind. A vacation sounds sooo good right now. According to many in the travel industry, 2009 is a prime time for great vacation deals. Particularly overseas where the value of the dollar keeps going up and the good deals abound. With the economy in decline, the travel industry is anxious for your money so they are offering great deals.

Then for all you ladies out there looking for a special vacation, check out: Great Women’s Vacations. Let’s face it, women have a whole different idea of a great vacation. Sitting in a boat trying to hook a fish or laying on the beach doing nothing just aren’t on my wish list. How about learning silk painting, knitting, yoga, cooking, photography or how about glamping. What’s glamping you ask? Glamorous camping. Do you enjoy the sounds of crickets and a babbling brook in the woods. How about all this while staying in a tent with fine linens, electricity and running water. Or how about a walk along the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal.

A vacation does sound great but I’m still not so sure about the glamping! Does it have to be a tent? Why can’t it be a nice cabin with windows that have screens to keep the bugs out while still being able to listen to the crickets and babbling brook? That wouldn’t be so bad!
Seriously, though, a vacation this year would be beyond fantastic!

Hmmm How about a nice hotel with a CD of crickets and a babbling brook. I love the outdoors a lot, but all this crazy weather has me craving a nice sunny beach!
